Peter Smith dari Universitas Arizona memastikan ada es di planet Mars.
Para ilmuwan selama ini sudah menduga adanya es di planet lain, termasuk Pluto (eh, lupa, Pluto bukan planet lagi ya  ),
tapi baru kali ini dapat dibuktikan secara langsung dengan sampel dari Planet Mars sendiri.

Setelah ini tentunya mereka bakal berusaha mencari lagi bukti-bukti lain kemungkinan adanya kehidupan di sana,
misalnya mencari mineral, zat-zat kimia dan organik.
