PhD position in land-use modelling (TV-L E13; 50%) May 1, 2007- April 30, 2009 (Prolongation until April 30, 2010, possible)

Within the DFG-funded research group “Biodiversity and sustainable Management of a megadiverse Mountain Ecosystem in southern Ecuador”, we carry out an environmental economics project that includes the development of a spatially explicit and institutionally extended land-use model.

For this challenging project we are looking for a team player with excellent academic performance, good English and possibly some Spanish skills. Experience in bio-economic and/or farm-household modelling is appreciated.
